Chiropractic: Chiropractic is a complementary and alternative medicine health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health. Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted in their movement as a result of a tissue injury.
Acupuncture: Acupuncture is one of the key components of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and is among the oldest healing practices in the world dating back over 4,000 years ago. Acupuncture involves the stimulation of points on the body using with needles that are then manipulated by hand or by electrical stimulation. According to the traditional Chinese medicine approach, stimulating specific acupuncture points corrects imbalances in the flow of qi (energy) through channels known as meridians. The aim of acupuncture is to restore balance and vitality to the body.
Cupping therapy: Cupping is an ancient Chinese form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin; practitioners believe this mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is created using heat (fire) to facilitate wellness by increasing blood flow, regulate muscle imbalances as well as promoting detoxification. Cupping can also be used as a weight loss tool by mobilizing fat in problematic areas of the body.
Massage therapy: Swedish massage is the most known of the massage styles. It utilizes light-to-moderate pressure and aims to calm the body and the mind. Clinical massage therapy is a personalized treatment session for each person. Clinical massage therapy uses postural assessment, biomechanical analysis, trigger point treatment and deep tissue massage to functionally correct imbalances in the body. This is the preferred massage for athletes and individuals who suffer from repetitive motions at work.
Pranic Healing: Pranic Healing® is a highly evolved and tested system of energy medicine developed by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui that utilizes prana to balance, harmonize and transform the body's energy processes. Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force. This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. In acupuncture, the Chinese refer to this subtle energy as Chi. Pranic Healing® is a simple yet powerful & effective system of no-touch energy healing. It is based on the fundamental principles that the body is a self-repairing living entity that possesses the ability to heal itself and that the healing process is accelerated by increasing this life force that is readily available from the sun, air and ground to address physical & emotional imbalances. Master Choa Kok Sui says "Life Energy or prana is all around us. It is pervasive; we are actually in an ocean of Life Energy. Based on this principle, a healer can draw in Pranic Energy or Life Energy from the surroundings." Pranic Healing can help clean chakras and auras for higher levels of vitality and energy. It can also help cut etheric cords that bind people together and link them emotionally.
Reiki: Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Biomeridian testing: Biomeridian testing provides a completely non-invasive method for gathering valuable information about the body's energetic functions, which discloses patterns of stress and provides feedback to help restore each system and meridian to an appropriate balance. This provides an overall view of the body and screens for the appropriate nutritional and herbal remedies needed to bring the body back into balance. The Biomeridian machine tests the acupuncture points which are related to the body's organs and organ systems. After the initial measurements have been taken and recorded, the results can be reviewed and a specific herbal, homeopathic and/or nutritional protocal is created. Food and environmental sensitivities are also tested. After a few months, a follow up test is recommended to measure the change in the body and re-evaluate the herbal, homeopathic and/or nutritional protocal.
